KATHMANDU: The price of gold and silver, which dropped yesterday, has continued to decrease today.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation, the price of gold has fallen by 300 rupees per tola today.
Gold is now priced at 160,100 rupees per tola, down from 160,400 rupees per tola yesterday.
After an increase of 1,000 rupees per tola last Friday, gold prices have declined for two consecutive days, with a decrease of 200 rupees per tola yesterday.
Silver prices have also decreased today, dropping by 15 rupees per tola. The new price of silver is 1,850 rupees per tola, according to the Federation.
In the third week of last Mangsir, gold prices had fallen by 18,500 rupees per tola in just two days.
On Kartik 15, gold prices hit an all-time high, reaching 171,000 rupees per tola.
Since then, both gold and silver prices have been on the decline, following the government’s reduction of customs duties.
