KATHMANDU: The price of gold has set a new record within a week.

Compared to Thursday, the price of gold increased by NPR 1,400 on Friday. On Thursday, gold was traded at NPR 174,800 per tola, whereas today it is being traded at NPR 176,200 per tola.

This is the highest gold price in Nepal’s history. Previously, on the 7th of Chaitra, the highest recorded price was NPR 176,000 per tola.

Similarly, the price of silver has also increased. On Thursday, silver was traded at NPR 2,020 per tola, whereas today it is being traded at NPR 2,040 per tola.
