The government has set a support price for wheat. The Cabinet meeting decided on the support price of wheat for the financial year 2079/80.
For this year, the government has set a support price of Rs 3,351 per quintile. According to this, the price of wheat per kg will be at least Rs 33.51.
After setting the support price, if the traders refuse to buy at such price, the government itself can buy at the support price.
