Hetauda garment factory, closed for two decades, would be resumed after the budget announcement.
Tabling the budget for the fiscal year, 2022/23 on Sunday, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma had announced that the closed garment factory would be brought to operation again. Minister Sharma further stated that the public officials should wear the clothes produced within the country.
Hetauda Industrial Estate chief Rajendra Kandel said government's decision to resume the sick industries is positive. Similarly, Prof Dr Lalit Karna from Institute of Forestry at Hetauda talked about how the budget covered various sectors and importantly, it announced that the Hetauda garment factory would be brought to operation again. Resumption of this industry was important, he said.
The locals are also very happy about the announcement.
