Kavrepalanchok Agricultural Festival inaugurated by President Paudel

President Ramchandra Paudel has said that the future needs of the country after the political change is economic prosperity, development, and peace. Addressing the ceremony held in Kavre on Friday on the occasion of the  Kavrepalanchok Agricultural Festival 2080, President Paudel emphasized the need for policymakers, planners, and the government to bring special programs to reduce imports and increase exports by increasing production and employment in the country.

"I have seen the need for extensive policy reform in the agricultural sector as it can bring out the people who are under the poverty line", President Paudel said. He made it clear that it is inevitable to establish a culture of justice for the poor, income arrangements for the poor, and respect for those who work.

He emphasized the need to introduce agriculture and animal husbandry as well as endangered technologies, practices, and the protection and promotion of local crops to the new generation and transfer their knowledge and technology. "It is important to pay equal attention to promoting our production by conducting public awareness and awareness campaigns about our original product which has been overshadowed by the impact of increasing urbanization", he said.

Paudel said that the Kalimati Agricultural Market in the capital is not enough, so four or five more such markets are necessary. In that event, President Paudel awarded 6 farmers from Kavre and Sindhupalchok with the President's Best Farmer Award.
