Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of the country, has issued a statement that it has no official Facebook page till date.
NRB issued a statement today mentioning that its attention has been drawn to the fact that some miscreants have created a Facebook page of the bank and have been disseminating information through the page. The central bank has said that it has no such official bank and has not disseminated any information through it.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also warned those who have been creating such fake pages on Facebook and disseminating information, which at times is misleading. It has warned that action will be initiated against such miscreants according to the prevailing cyber laws of the country.
The central bank has also appealed to all Facebook users not to trust the information that is posted in such fake pages.
