Nepal Rastra Bank updates forex rates

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the foreign exchange rates for today (Tuesday).

The US dollar has remained unchanged for the third day in a row, with a buying rate of NPR 136.46 and a selling rate of NPR 137.06.

The highest recorded exchange rate for the US dollar in Nepal was on Magh 25, when it peaked at NPR 140.43.

The British pound, along with the Kuwaiti and Bahraini dinars, has gained value, whereas the euro and Australian dollar have depreciated.

The euro is currently trading at NPR 147.63 (buying) and NPR 148.28 (selling), showing a slight drop from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the British pound has increased slightly, with buying and selling rates of NPR 176.63 and NPR 177.40, respectively.

The Australian dollar has weakened, with the buying rate now at NPR 85.30 and the selling rate at NPR 85.68, lower than yesterday’s rates.

Conversely, the Kuwaiti dinar has appreciated slightly, now standing at NPR 442.69 (buying) and NPR 444.68 (selling). Similarly, the Bahraini dinar has climbed to NPR 361.99 (buying) and NPR 363.58 (selling).

Exchange rates are subject to daily fluctuations due to global market trends, impacting trade, travel, and remittance flows.
