KATHMANDU: On the last trading day of the week, the stock market index NEPSE fell by 12.38 points. After that decline, NEPSE remained at 2669 points.
Along with the market index, the trading amount also decreased. The previous day’s trading was Rs 5.14 billion, but today it was Rs 4.56 billion.
Of the companies traded on this day, 25 percent of the shares increased in value. While the prices of 62 companies increased, 175 decreased and 7 remained unchanged. Only the trade sector increased. This sector increased by 0.26 percent.
The finance sector decreased by 1.26 percent. Banking decreased by 0.48, development bank by 0.18, hotel and tourism by 0.48, hydropower by 0.69, investment by 0.22, life insurance by 0.04, manufacturing by 0.70, microfinance by 0.66, non-life insurance by 0.89 and others by 0.59 percent.
The price of Dolti Power increased by 7.5 percent. Similarly, Asian Hydropower increased by 5.4 percent, Sindhu Bikas Bank by 4.9 percent, Guardian Microlife Insurance by 4.4 percent and Swetganga Hydropower by 4.2 percent.
Mithila Laghubitta and Bhuleog Energy fell by 10 percent. Based on turnover, Nepal Reinsurance, Himalayan Reinsurance, Sindhu Bikas Bank, United Modi Hydropower and Ghalemdi Hydropower were the top performers, respectively.
