NEPSE drops by 58.05 points today

KATHMANDU: The stock market witnessed a sharp decline on Tuesday. The NEPSE index fell by 58.05 points (2.19 percent) compared to the previous day. After that decline, the NEPSE remained at 2,582 points.

As the market index fell, the trading volume increased. The previous day’s turnover was Rs 4.48 billion, but today it was Rs 5.18 billion. A total of 4 companies increased their prices, decreasing by 240.

All sectors decreased on this day. Banking 1.42, Development Bank 2.99, Finance 3.50, Hotel and Tourism 2.72, Hydropower 3.31, Investment 2.08, Life Insurance 2.20, Manufacturing 1.50, Microfinance 2.49, Non-Life Insurance 2.46, Others 1.82 and Trade 1.85 percent.

Debentures were the ones who increased their prices the most on this day. The prices of NCCD 86 and KBLD 89 increased by more than 4 percent. Narayani Development Bank’s price fell by 8.7 percent. Support Microfinance’s price fell by 7.3 percent, Eastern Hydro’s by 7.1 percent, Sindhu Bikas Bank’s by 6.7 percent, and Win Nepal Laghubitta’s by 6.7 percent.
