NEPSE rises by 26 points to stand at 2,640.78

KATHMANDU: The capital market, which has been continuously declining since last week, has stopped today and is seen in the green. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 26.10 points to stand at 2,640.78.

According to the NEPSE, 9,739,738 shares of 326 different companies were bought and sold 58,235 times, with a turnover of Rs. 4.48 billion 35.99 billion.

In today’s trading, the sub-indices of all groups are seen in the green. The finance group has increased the most by 3.52 percent. Similarly, banking has increased by 0.71, development banks by 0.71, hotels and tourism by 1.03, hydropower by 0.95, investment by 0.83, life insurance by 1.46 and production and processing by 0.78 percent. Similarly, microfinance increased by 0.79 percent, mutual funds by 0.44 percent, non-life insurance by 0.65 percent, trade by 1.06 percent and other groups by 1.50 percent.

Guardian Microlife Insurance’s share price increased by the most today by 9.51 percent. The share price of Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited decreased by the most by 4.26 percent.

In terms of transaction amount, the highest number of shares traded today was Himalayan Re-Insurance Limited worth Rs 326.977 thousand 578. In terms of number of shares traded, the highest number of shares traded was Sanima Growth Fund’s share price of 710 thousand units.
