NEPSE rises by 41 points to settle at 2,663.30

KATHMANDU: The capital market has seen a significant improvement on the last day of trading this week. Today, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 41.43 points to settle at 2,663.30. This is an increase of 1.58 percent.

According to the NEPSE, 9,772,196 shares of 309 companies were bought and sold 55,442 times, with a turnover of Rs 5.223 billion.

Today, the sub-indices of all groups are seen in the green. The business group has increased the most by 6.9 percent. Banking has increased by 0.90, Development Bank by 1.10, Finance by 1.30, Hotel and Tourism by 0.44, Hydropower by 1.00 and Investment by 2.20 percent.

Similarly, life insurance increased by 1.71 percent, production and processing by 0.92 percent, microfinance by 2.22 percent, mutual funds by 0.37 percent, non-life insurance by 0.85 percent and other groups by 1.74 percent.

In today’s trading, the share prices of Gurans Microfinance Financial Institutions Limited and Shree Janashil Microfinance Financial Institutions Limited have entered a positive circuit. The share price of Kumari Sabal Yojana has decreased by the most by 1.82 percent.

Based on the transaction amount and the number of shares traded, the highest number of shares of Himalayan Reinsurance Limited worth Rs. 518 million, 177,140 were bought and sold today.
