KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a significant drop on Monday, the first trading day after Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari’s term ended on Friday.
The market fell by 32.45 points, or 1.20 percent, bringing the NEPSE index down to 2,670.94 points. This decline occurred amidst uncertainty surrounding the government’s next appointment to lead the central bank.
On Monday, 114,866 shares were traded, with a total transaction volume of Rs 5.65 billion.
