NRB announces today’s foreign exchange rates

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has released the latest foreign exchange rates for today (Saturday), showing a decline in most major currencies.

After experiencing a slight increase yesterday, the values of the US dollar, Australian dollar, euro, pound sterling, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar have once again dropped.

Currently, the US dollar is being exchanged at a buying rate of 136 rupees 46 paisa and a selling rate of 137 rupees 06 paisa. This marks a decrease from yesterday’s rates of 136 rupees 96 paisa for buying and 137 rupees 56 paisa for selling.

On Magh 25, the US dollar reached its highest recorded value in Nepal, with a buying rate of 139 rupees 83 paisa and a selling rate of 140 rupees 43 paisa.

The euro is also trading lower today, with a buying rate of 146 rupees 99 paisa and a selling rate of 147 rupees 63 paisa, compared to yesterday’s rates of 147 rupees 70 paisa and 148 rupees 35 paisa.

Similarly, the pound sterling has dropped, with today’s rates set at 176 rupees 42 paisa for buying and 177 rupees 19 paisa for selling, down from yesterday’s 177 rupees 18 paisa and 177 rupees 95 paisa.

The Australian dollar has also declined, with the current buying rate at 85 rupees 86 paisa and the selling rate at 86 rupees 24 paisa, a decrease from yesterday’s 86 rupees 46 paisa and 86 rupees 83 paisa.

The Kuwaiti dinar follows the trend, with today’s rates set at 442 rupees 51 paisa for buying and 444 rupees 45 paisa for selling, compared to 444 rupees 06 paisa and 446 rupees yesterday.

Similarly, the Bahraini dinar has slightly weakened, with today’s buying rate at 361 rupees 97 paisa and the selling rate at 363 rupees 56 paisa, lower than yesterday’s 363 rupees 27 paisa and 364 rupees 86 paisa.
