KATHMANDU: NRB is going to withdraw an additional 40 billion rupees from the banking system on Sunday, Magh 13.
To manage excess liquidity, NRB is going to an additional amount Rs 40 billion from the market for 21 days using a bidding system.
The central bank has stated that he bidding will be conducted via the Online Bidding System Software (OBSS), starting at 2:00 PM on Sunday.
Only banks and financial institutions of category ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ will be allowed to participate in the bidding system.
The bidding amounts must range from a minimum of Rs 100 million to a maximum of Rs 50 billion, with incremental increases up to the total amount.
