10 gamblers held in Kathmandu

10 people involved in gambling offences were arrested from Gokarneshwor Municipality-7 on Sunday evening. Police nabbed them from HM Carpet Industry in Dakshindhoka. The carpet factory is owned by Maankaji Lama.

One of the arrested has been identified as Lal Kaji Tamang (35), a local resident of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-6 in Sindhupalchowk district while the names of the other nine have not been disclosed.

Acting on a tip-off, Boudhha-based Metropolitan Police Circle personnel arrested them. The police also seized Rs 140,365 and three decks of cards from their possession.

Further investigation into the matter is underway, said the police.
