The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Mr. Tae-Young Park, met with Mayor Chiri Babu Maharjan of Lalitpur to discuss matters, including cooperation between the local governments of both countries.
Ambassador Park mentioned that on August 23rd, Cheorwon County in Korea and Lalitpur City signed a sister city agreement, expressing his hope that this would serve as a catalyst for expanding exchanges and cooperation between the local governments of the two nations.
Mayor Maharjan, who has visited Korea multiple times, shared his deep impression of Korea’s development and advanced technology and expressed his intention to strengthen cooperation with Korea in various fields, such as agriculture, sports, and education.
The two congratulated each other on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year and agreed to work towards further vitalizing exchanges and cooperation across various sectors.
