The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Park Tae-young, paid a courtesy call on the Chairperson of the National Assembly of Nepal, Narayan Prasad Dahal, on Tuesday, to discuss the current status of bilateral relations and ways to deepen cooperation between Korea and Nepal.
Ambassador Park conveyed his congratulations to the newly elected Chairperson Dahal and requested his support and cooperation in making this year, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties, a cornerstone for further strengthening relations between the two nations.
Chairperson Dahal highlighted that Korea and Nepal, since 1974, the year diplomatic relations were established, have maintained close cooperative relations in areas including development, employment, economy, and people-to-people exchange. He suggested further consolidating these relations during this commemorative year.
Furthermore, they agreed to promote exchanges between the parliaments of Korea and Nepal.
