Pampha Bhusal, a Standing Committee member of the CPN (Maoist Centre), has announced the establishment of the ‘Indra-Govinda Memorial Fund’ in memory of her late parents. She mentioned that deserving students of Mahendra Adarsha Secondary School in Lalitpur will be provided scholarships through the fund.

Bhusal announced the launch of the fund at a condolence meet organised at her residence in Lalitpur on the seventh day of the passing away of her mother Indrakala today. She stated that the Indra-Govinda Memorial Fund is a revolving fund.

The Bhusal family had also established a fund at Janata Secondary School in Arghakhanchi district in the name of Pampha’s father some 13 years ago.

During the condolence meet, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) recalled Indrakala as a politically motivated personality, adding that she was ‘a mother with strong willpower who always stood in favour of freedom’.

Likewise, CPN (Maoist Centre) Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, leaders Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Dev Gurung, Barshaman Pun and others paid tribute to late Indrakala.
