The CPN (Unified Socialist) office established at Minbhawan of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-31 will operate from Asoj (mid-September to mid-October). The newly-formed party has been carrying out its administrative works temporarily from Baneshwor at present.
A meeting of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Secretariat chaired by party leader Beduram Bhusal has held discussions on office management.
Secretariat member and MP Jeevan Ram Shrestha said the meeting discussed the topics of operation of committees and assigning the district in charge of the party. It decided to recommend this to the Standing Committee at the earliest.
The provincial committee as well as local level committee members continued to join the party formed recently after a split from the CPN UML.
The Election Commission has given until September 7 as the deadline for the
province assembly and local level elected representatives to choose any of the two parties – the CPN UML or its breakaway party the CPN (Unified Socialist).
Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Press formed under the convenorship of senior journalist Shambhu Shrestha has prepared its statute. It is said the journalists' organisation close to CPN (Unified Socialist) will be registered within a week.
