Police arrested five people on charge of slaughtering ox in Shankharapur Municipality, Kathmandu district.
Of those five arrested, one has been identified as Santa Bahadur Waiba (65) of Bojeni in the same municipality.
Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Sankhu-based Metropolitan Police Sector (MPS) nabbed them while they were allegedly slaughtering the ox. They were apprehended from Dhoksang today morning.
MPS also seized 500 kilograms of vension from their possession.
Further investigation into the case is underway, informed police.
