Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai addressed Fresher Fiesta event organized by Geetanjali College, Nayabazaar today. He distributed prizes to various winners of Geetanjali Sports Carnival-2022/23 on the event.
During his speech Dr. Bhattarai said that the age group of 15 to 25 is the most crucial time of life. Most of the successful people across the globe achieved pinnacle of success due to efforts made in the same time frame. Therefore, students must not focus merely on books rather they need to explore beyond books. They need to channelize their energy in shaping and sharpening their interests and skills to the fullest.
According to him, the youth today must know about political, social, and economic condition of the country.
He further acknowledged that the public education system of the country is still following the traditional patterns. Everyday thousands of youths are vying to go abroad. This situation has to change and state must create a perfect environment to stop the mass exodus of intellectuals from the country, he said.
