The book “Nepal Remembered” published photos of palaces of the Rana period of Nepal was handed over to President Ramchandra Poudel today. The publisher of the book, Kiranman Chitar, handed it over to President Paudel. The book is published in English.

The historical photos of the Rana period taken by the late Dirghaman Chitrakar and his son the late Ganeshman Chitrakar, who worked as photographers in the then Rana period palace of Nepal, have been published in the book. Similarly, information about the history of that time is also given in the book. In the book, various old photos are also published that reflect the activities of the Kathmandu Valley at that time. Written by Cristeena Chitrakar with Mark Watson and David N Gellner, the book is edited by Lisa Choegyal. At the ceremony, President Paudel said that the book is an important and collectible book to mark the history of Nepal. The event was held at the President’s residence Shital Niwas.
