The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has prepared to resolve disputes that come to the judicial committee at the ward level by creating reconciliation rooms in all wards. Deputy Chief Sunita Dangol gave this information in today's program organized on the occasion of the judicial committee of KAMPA starting the work of delivering justice from the bench. "The first effort will be to reconcile the complaints that have come to the committee", Deputy Chief Dangol said.
Currently, there are 242 complaints in the judicial committee. Out of these, 144 cases have been transferred. Article 217 of the Constitution of Nepal has provided for judicial committee. The arrangements, duties and jurisdiction of the committee are provided in Chapter 8 of the Local Government Operation Act, 2074.
The Committee conducts the Jurisdiction of the Judicial Committee in accordance with Section 47 of the Local Government Management Act, 2074, the use of jurisdiction in accordance with Section 48, and the process of administration of justice in accordance with Section 49.
