A tipper heading towards Swayambhu from Thankot has hit a motorcycle heading in the same direction at around 3 this morning.
The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Diwakar Adhikari, 45, of Dhuniveshi Municipality-2, Dhading. The motorcyclist, who was critically injured in the accident, died while undergoing treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, according to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
The tipper driver has been taken into custody by the Kalimati Police.
