The National Sports Council has honored 4 athletes on the occasion of the 59th anniversary.
Among the players who will be honored are Kiran Chemjong of football in men and Palesha Gobardhan of Para Taekwondo in women and Sandeep Tharu of athletics in junior men and Ivana Thapa of table tennis in women. They were awarded trophies along with cash prizes.
Addressing the program, Prime Minister Deuba said that the government is working hard to improve sports infrastructure and facilities for players.
