BHAKTAPUR: A road accident in Madhyapurthimi Municipality-3, Gaththaghar, this morning resulted in one death and left another person critically injured.
Jite Dyula, from the Dyula settlement in Bhaktapur Municipality-5, suffered serious injuries, while his wife, Nabina, was killed in the incident.
The accident occurred when a truck traveling towards Kathmandu collided with the scooter the Dyula couple was riding.
Jite Dyula is currently receiving treatment at Citizen Community Hospital in Bhaktapur.
Police have seized the truck and arrested its driver, Buddha Bahadur Ghalan, from Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-4.
