KATHMANDU: The Second National Horticulture Expo-2081 is officially opening today (Thursday) at Bhrikutimandap and will continue through April 13.
According to Expo Coordinator and Association Senior Vice President Rabin Kumar Gautam, this year’s event will offer a comprehensive and integrated display of commercial nursery items—including flowers, fruits, agricultural and forestry plants, as well as medicinal herbs.
The expo will feature over 700 varieties of plants cultivated by nurseries specializing in flowers, fruits, agroforestry, and herbs from all over the country, all available for exhibition and sale.
In addition to plant displays, the event will host stalls selling fertilizers, both organic and chemical pesticides, seeds, flower pots, gardening tools, and the latest in horticultural technology.
Association President Ramji Prasad Timilsina noted that the involvement of nurseries from beyond the Kathmandu Valley will provide visitors with access to a diverse range of products from across Nepal.
Timilsina also mentioned that the event is anticipated to draw more than 51,000 visitors and generate over Rs 12.5 million in transactions.
