Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Mohamed Uvais Mohamed Ali Sabry had a courtesy meeting with President Ramachandra Paudel.

In the meeting held at Rashtrapati Bhavan Sheetal Niwas on Friday, President Paudel recalled that the then Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa had said that Lumbini would be a cultural destination of the world during his visit to Nepal and emphasized that the cultural relations between Nepal and Sri Lanka should be made stronger and broader.

On that occasion, Foreign Minister Sabry expressed the view that it is necessary to further strengthen the cultural relations between the two countries, as well as to increase the possibility of investment between the two countries, said Kiran Pokharel, the press advisor to the President.
