An unidentified group set ablaze a running taxi in Samakhuhi, Kathmandu Metropolis-26, today morning.
The taxi (State 3 – 01 – 002 Ja 5881) was completely damaged in the arson attack, at around 6.3o am.
The Maharajgunj-based Metropolitan Police Circle in-charge, DSP Roshan Khadka told RSS that a motorcycle-borne unknown person had torched the taxi. Police said that a search is on for those torching the taxi.
Nepal Communist Party’s Dahal-Nepal faction on Wednesday had announced enforcing a general strike for today in protest against the government’s move to administer the oath of office to the chiefs and members of the constitutional bodies without a parliamentary hearing.
