Metropolitan Police Circle on Monday arrested two persons on charge of killing a youth from Dahachowk in Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu district.
The deceased has been identified as Jitendra Shah (20), a local resident of Jaleshwor Municipality-2 in Mahottari district, currently residing in Thankot of Chandragiri Municipality-3.
The arrested have been identified as Somlal Gopali (36), a resident of Thankot in Chandragiri Municipality, and Manoj Dong Tamang (25), a local resident of Daman in Makawanpur district.
Three persons including Goapli and Tamang attacked Shah with a knife leading to severe injuries on Sunday night. Shah who was receiving treatment at the National Trauma Centre was pronounced dead on Monday morning.
Similarly, a manhunt has been launched to nab the third absconding accused. The duo who have been arrested have been charged for murder, said the police.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, informed Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot.
