Vehicles carrying waste from the Kathmandu valley that reached Bancharedanda have been stopped, even today.
According to the environment management department of the metropolis, the vehicle which returned to Dhunibensi-1, which was carrying garbage was stopped by the local political party at Dhunibensi-1.
According to the metropolis, representatives of Congress, Maoists and CPN-S had written a joint letter and requested to close the garbage dump in Bancharedanda for long term.
Garbage in Kathmandu has not been picked up for months due to different demands being made on Bancharedanda.
