KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Ashika Tamang, who has been calling herself an activist. She had been making various videos in the market and posting them on social media. Tamang was arrested by Gaushala police on Wednesday afternoon on charges of indecent behavior.

SP Nawaraj Adhikari of Kathmandu District Police Range confirmed that Tamang had been arrested. The police arrested Tamang on a warrant. The police said that Tamang had to be taken into custody for investigation into the indecent behavior case.

Recently, a video of Tamang abusing a female police officer at the Pashupati Temple premises went viral on social media. She had been making various videos and posting them on social media as she went to different places to investigate.
