KATHMANDU: The detention hearing has been completed in the Rupandehi District Court for the case of the defendants including the Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in the Supreme Cooperative fraud case of Butwal.
The arguments in the case against Lamichhane, which began in the Rupandehi District Court on Thursday, ended on Sunday afternoon. There is a possibility that an order will be issued in this case soon.
While some lawyers on behalf of Lamichhane are still pending, the arguments were started by making him appear in court on Sunday.
The bench of Rupandehi District Court Judge Pralhad Kumar Yogi has been releasing him in the custody of his wife Nikita Poudel and legal practitioners on the condition that he appears.
Lamichhane was previously released on bail of Rs 6.5 million from the Kaski District Court in the Surya Darshan Cooperative case in Pokhara and Rs 6 million from the Kathmandu District Court in the Swarna Lakshmi Cooperative case.
