KATHMANDU: The Kaski District Court has ordered the release of former DIG Chhabilal Joshi on bail of 8.8 million in Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case. The decision was made by Judge Nitij Rai on Thursday.
On September 22, Joshi was arrested and faces charges of cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering.
The case, which involves allegations of embezzlement of cooperative funds, continues to draw significant attention, with Joshi and others facing charges of organized crime and money laundering. Former DIG Joshi was a director of the Suryadarshan Cooperative.
