KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Arzu Rana Deuba has extended felicitation to Marco Rubio who has been confirmed as the 72nd Secretary of State under the Trump Administration.

Taking to social media (X) today, President Paudel said, “My warm felicitations to Marco Rubio as the 72nd Secretary of State under the Trump Administration and my best wishes for the successful tenure.”

Foreign Minister Deuba mentioned her willingness to cooperate with Foreign Minister Rubio to further consolidate the diplomatic relationship between Nepal and America.

The senator from Florida, who was confirmed with a historic 99-0 vote during the first session of the 119th Congress on Monday, is set to become one of the key members of President Trump’s Cabinet as per the International media.
