BANGKOK: The Kathmandu University of Nepal and Siam University of Thailand have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on increasing Thai students on glaciology in the higher study in Nepal.

The MoU was signed between the two universities following the bilateral meeting between visiting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his Thai counterpart Paetongtarn Shinawatra on Wednesday.

It is the first official visit of Nepali Prime Minister to Thailand since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

The MoU was signed by KU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Achyut Wagle and Siam University President Dr Pornchai Mongkhonvanit.

Vice Chancellor Dr Wagle informed the MoU had paved way to draw Thai students in Nepal for the university study on traditional architect, glaciology and environmental science.
