BANGKOK: Prime Minister KP Oli, currently in Bangkok for an official visit and to attend the 6th BIMSTEC Summit, is scheduled to meet with Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra today.
This visit is the first official trip by a Nepali Prime Minister to Thailand, following an invitation from Prime Minister Shinawatra.
As per the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two leaders are expected to sign an agreement on cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism. In addition, six agreements will be exchanged between non-governmental and commercial organizations from both nations.
After the signing, the two prime ministers will address the media in a joint press conference. Later, Prime Minister Oli will participate in a luncheon hosted by his Thai counterpart in his honor. He is also scheduled to make a courtesy call on King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand today.
Prime Minister Oli will return to Nepal on Tuesday after completing his official visit.
