Veteran comedian Madan Krishna Shrestha was born in 1950 in Jitpur Phedi, a village in the northern area of Kathmandu. However, he had a life of struggle from an early age. Having lost his mother, he taught children of his own age who had to go to school. He became the headmaster at just 14 years. He used to walk from his home to Kathmandu city to study, for which he had to wake up at 6 o'clock in the morning.
