'Everest Man', a documentary about mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa, has won the best documentary award at the Vastaw Film Festival held in Kazakhstan.
Expressing his happiness after receiving the award, director Binod Adhikari thanked Sherpa for his support in the production of the documentary.
The documentary focuses on the problems of mountaineering and the impact of climate change on the mountains. Director Adhikari said that the documentary focuses on the role of the Sherpa community in preserving the beauty of the mountains. It shares comprehensive information about the Sherpa community and the role to be played in protecting the mountain from the effects of climate change.
