"Hawa le," a new song by well-known Nepali artist Sushant KC, was recently released. The song has been in the works for over six months and is finally out to be heard. For KC, 2022 has been more of a tour year, with less emphasis on new music releases.
This song's conclusion has an exciting story. "While returning to Nepal after my show at Joon Fest 2022 in the UK, I tested covid positive and was quarantined in Doha for seven days. Fortunately, I had my laptop with me and was able to create the beat for this song. I left the music on my laptop for a while before starting to write the lyrics for the song," he explains.
After finishing his tour in Australia in October, he went to Foeseal's Studio, AtFoe's, to work on his piece. Meanwhile, they were planning the video for this song, and because the idea was unusual, they decided to make a video that would be appealing to the viewers' eyes.
They sent an entourage to Pokhara in December to film this music video, which features various adventure sports and activities that may entice domestic tourists to try out and explore newer experiences.
"In recent times, I have been exploring and experimenting with my music with tracks like ‘Yaad’, ‘Kheladi’, ‘Bhaagera’, and more, as a small attempt to bring contemporary global music flavours to our industry as well," KC adds. Hawa Le is a dancehall song that combines Reggae, Dub, and Urbano music.
