As part of their anniversary celebrations, 1974 AD has already held performances in the US, Japan, and Australia. The Kathmandu concert marks the first of its kind in Nepal for this milestone.
The band, known for hit songs like ‘Chhudaina’, ‘Hinda Hindai’, ‘Pinjadako Suga’, ‘Pahilo Junima’, ‘Parelima’, ‘Sambodhan’, ‘Jangi Nishan’, and ‘Iris Cafe’, has been a key figure in the Nepali rock scene for three decades. The current lineup includes Nirakar Yakthumba, Manoj Kumar KC, Sanjay Shrestha, Firoz Syangden, Manoj Singh, and Adrian Pradhan.
1974 AD previously organized the ‘Rock Yatra’ in Kathmandu in 2000, which attracted a record 60,000 spectators, marking the band’s largest audience to date. Despite changes in the lineup over the years, the band has remained active and continues to celebrate three decades of musical success.
