As fans eagerly await Aamir Khan’s next big project following the mixed reception of Laal Singh Chaddha, an exciting update has emerged regarding Sitare Zameen Par.

The much-anticipated film is set to hit theaters on Christmas Day, 2025. Aamir recently shared exclusive details at the Republic Day 2025 event at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat.

When asked about any upcoming films being shot in Gujarat, Aamir confirmed that the climax of Sitare Zameen Par was filmed in Vadodara.

He said, “Yes, this film is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par, and we shot its climax in Vadodara.”

The actor also reminisced about his childhood connection to Gujarat, noting that his father had filmed several movies in the state. “The first time I came to Vadodara, I was 12 years old.

The city has changed so much—modern buildings, better roads—it’s incredible! It brings back so many memories.”

He went on to praise Gujarat’s strong ties to cinema and culture, adding, “This state has always been a hub for filmmaking, vibrant and full of art. We as filmmakers would love to shoot more projects here.”

Sitare Zameen Par follows the journey of a new character named Ishan. Aamir not only stars in the film but also serves as its producer. The film features Genelia D’Souza in a key role.

“This is an entertaining film, and I simply loved the story,” Aamir shared. As his highly anticipated film prepares for its release, another exciting project, Alpha, is also set to make its debut on December 25, 2025.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha boasts a powerful ensemble cast, including Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Sharvari, and Alia Bhatt.
