KATHMANDU: Anichhoing Dolma’s hit song “Phoolko Aankhama Phoolai Sansar” will now be launched in Hindi. The renowned Indian lyricist Gulzar has penned the song in Hindi. Anichhoing revealed that the Hindi version will be recorded soon. The original Nepali version of the song features lyrics by Durgalal Shrestha, music composed by Nhyoo Bajracharya, arrangement by Gopal Rasaily, and vocals by Anichhoing Dolma. Although Anichhoing will be singing the Hindi version, the decision on whether to retain Nhyoo Bajracharya’s composition or bring in a new composer has not yet been finalized.
Anichhoing first met Gulzar during a concert in Mumbai, where she had shared the song with him during the COVID period. On her recent visit to Mumbai, she once again met Gulzar, along with filmmaker Min Bahadur Bham and others. Anichhoing expressed her confidence that Gulzar’s lyrical brilliance would do justice to the song, which is why she entrusted him with the translation.
“Phoolko Aankhama…” was originally released in 2004 as part of Anichhoing’s album “Moments of Bliss”. The digital release of the song took place on May 23, 2020. Fans are eagerly awaiting the Hindi rendition of this timeless melody!
