KATHMANDU: The main protagonist of the movie ‘Anjila’, Anjila Tumbapo Subba, is set to personally participate in the film’s promotion. She is arriving in Nepal this Friday, according to sources. However, her trip will be short, as she will need to return to Greece by Tuesday due to her football commitments.
She will stay for five days in Nepal, traveling from Kathmandu to the various theatres throughout the country, engaging with spectators. The team hopes that her tour will attract additional spectators to view the movie. Due to this reason, the team has even made arrangements for her to return from Greece, where she plays club football, even though for a couple of days.
Anjila was unable to attend the movie’s premieres in both the UK and Nepal, and the promotional activities have been carried out without her until now.
The movie ‘Anjila’ is a biographical film on the life of Anjila Subba, a captain and goalkeeper of Nepal’s national women’s football team, which portrays her childhood, struggles, and journey to success in a deeply emotional narrative.
