The first song from the upcoming film Feri Resham Philili has been released, marking an exciting milestone ahead of the movie’s premiere on the 14th of Falgun (Nepali calendar), coinciding with Mahashivaratri. Titled Green Card, the song was unveiled on Tuesday, generating anticipation for the sequel.

Featuring lyrics and composition by Deepak Sharma and vocals by Debit Shankar, the track captures a celebratory moment as the villagers rejoice in the success of Vinay, the protagonist, who secures a U.S. visa. The music video stars Vinay Shrestha and Supushpa Bhatt, portraying an emotional farewell scene as the village bids him goodbye before his journey to America.

Vinay’s character is depicted as a humble, soft-spoken rural youth, adding depth to the narrative. Feri Resham Philili is a sequel to Resham Filili, which originally premiered on the 11th of Baishakh 2072 (Nepali calendar). Unfortunately, the film’s release was overshadowed by the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal the following day, significantly affecting its box office performance.

Now, a decade later, the much-awaited sequel is here. Director Pranav Joshi and actress Menuka Pradhan reprise their roles, joined by new additions including director Niraj Mahajan and actress Supushpa Bhatt. The cast also features Vinay Shrestha, Nir Shah, Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Prakash Ghimire, Shishir Wangdel, Ravindra Jha, Laxmi Giri, Maxam Gaudel, and Prakash Ghimire.

Produced by Cine Art and V Motion Pictures, Feri Resham Philili is directed by Niraj Mahajan, with Raunak Bikram Kandel serving as the producer. With this sequel, the filmmakers aim to revive the charm and legacy of the original while bringing fresh storytelling to the audience.
