Current Miss Globe 2024, Diana Moreno, has arrived in Nepal, expressing her excitement to experience the rich culture and stunning natural beauty of the country.
She landed in Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon to serve as a judge for the Mr. and Miss National Nepal 2025 pageant.
In addition to judging the pageant, Diana will walk the ramp at the international fashion runway event in Kavrepalanchok, organized in association with the World Youth Festival.
The event aims to raise awareness about climate change. Diana will also participate in a discussion session in Kavre on Saturday.
According to the organizers, Diana is the first international beauty queen to judge a Nepali pageant.
Organizer Santosh Upadhyaya shared that this fourth edition of the pageant introduces a new trend by inviting international titleholders as judges to help elevate Nepal’s beauty and fashion industries.
“We believe that Diana’s involvement—starting with the Kathmandu auditions and continuing through the World Youth Festival in Kavre—will significantly contribute to boosting Nepal’s beauty pageants and fashion industry,” said Upadhyaya.
Diana will be in Nepal for five days, during which she plans to visit some of Kathmandu’s iconic heritage sites and participate in a special photoshoot.
She will also meet with officials from the Nepal Tourism Board, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The auditions for Mr. and Miss National Nepal 2025 are currently underway in Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Pokhara, Itahari, Chitwan, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi, and will run until March 2. As in previous years, both males and females aged 18 to 32 are eligible to compete, with no restrictions regarding height or gender.
Diana Moreno, who won the Miss Globe 2024 title during the grand finale in Albania last year, is sure to inspire aspiring models and beauty queens across Nepal during her visit.
