KATHMANDU: Nepali film Satidevi has been selected for the prestigious UK Lift-Off Film Festival’s “Volume 3” award. The film will be showcased at the event on April 7, alongside the award presentation. Recently, the film also won the Most Popular Feature Film Audience Choice Award at the 8th Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF) held in Kathmandu. Directed by Laxman Suvedi, Satidevi continues to garner international recognition.

The film, which focuses on women’s narratives, also triumphed at the National Film Awards, taking home the Special Film Award. Satidevi had its first release in the month of Bhadra (August) and is now gearing up for a re-release.

Starring Malika Mahat, Harshika Wali, Manjila Baniya, Sandeep Babu Lohani, Ramesh Budhathoki, Kuldeep Adhikari, Bhola Sapkota, Srijana Adhikari, Sujita Shivakoti, Sandeep Limbu, and Manisha Sapkota, the film features a stellar ensemble cast. The film, directed, written, and produced by Laxman Suvedi himself, also includes the work of Babbu Shrestha on cinematography. Produced by Shridevi Suvedi, Satidevi promises to continue impressing audiences worldwide.
