Russian Singer Misha Luzhin Arrives in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The excitement is building as international artists begin arriving in Nepal for the highly anticipated World Youth Festival 2025, set to take place in Dhulikhel. Among the first to land is renowned Russian singer Misha Luzhin, who arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday. Welcoming him with a touch of Nepali tradition, festival entertainment head and lyricist Dayaram Pandey presented him with a Bhaktapur Topi at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Luzhin, known for his soulful voice in several popular Russian films, will be performing at the festival. But he’s not the only international star making their way to Nepal! Artists from India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, the UK, Belgium, and more are also set to participate.

Held at Kathmandu University, this grand festival will feature over three dozen discussion sessions covering film, literature, music, health, education, and politics. The musical performances are equally thrilling, with Alina Chauhan, Asmita Adhikari, Shantishree Pariyar, Badri Pangeni, Mahesh Kafle, Deepak Limbu, Mandavi Tripathi, Shree Krishna Bam Malla, and many more.
