KATHMANDU: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is all set to return with his much-awaited film Sikandar, which will hit theaters worldwide on Sunday, March 30, just ahead of Eid. According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers strategically chose this date since Ramadan Eid falls on Monday, March 31, and Maharashtra’s Gudi Padwa festival also provides a public holiday, ensuring a strong opening.

The film, which is directed by A.R. Murugadoss, has Salman Khan featuring in it along with Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi in lead roles. The date of release announcement will be made on Wednesday.

Nepali films will get an opportunity of a golden chance at the box office as Sikandar is not releasing on Saturday or Friday. The upcoming Nepali movie Dori, set to release on March 28 (Chaitra 15), is likely to benefit from the delay of the Bollywood giant. Additionally, currently running films like Hostel 3, Laaj Sharanam, Anjila, Outlaw, and Rajaganj will also enjoy an extended window before the Salman Khan storm takes over cinemas next weekend!
