KATHMANDU: Tom Holland is officially returning as Peter Parker in the highly anticipated next installment of the Spider-Man franchise. Sony Studios has confirmed the development of Spider-Man 4, officially titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and will begins production this summer, reported by ‘Variety’. The announcement was made during the CinemaCon convention being held in Las Vegas, and the news has sent fans worldwide into a tizzy of excitement.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t be with you all this time.” I’m actually on location halfway around the world filming a new movie currently,” Holland described. He is currently working on Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, featuring Matt Damon, Zendaya, and Anne Hathaway.

He added, “I know we left you with a major cliffhanger at the end of No Way Home, so Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a fresh new beginning. That’s all I can say for now.”
The film is slated for release on July 31, 2026. While not officially confirmed, fans are hoping for the return of Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned. Given the massive box-office success of Holland’s Spider-Man films, theater owners are eagerly anticipating his return as the beloved web-slinger.
